After a first CD of concert works also with Andrew von Oeyen, Villaume chose an eclectic French program: the three works differ in every way but they require the same transparency and the same lightness of touch. The objective is achieved three times and the Czech musicians show prodigious finesse…As for Debussy’s Fantaisie, an atypical concerto that his author had done everything to forget, even forbidding any performance during his lifetime, Andrew von Oeyen provides flexibility, energy, contrast.
